Job Summary: The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Woodcraft products in such a manner that promotes and maintains excellent customer relations.

Job Duties:

1. Receives direction from the supervisor and notifies the supervisor when more work is needed.

2. Maintains the work area, machinery, and tools in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

3. Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues.

4. Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor of potential procedural improvements.

5. Assists in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.

6. Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.

7. Meets or exceeds the production standards for the position.

8. Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes all documentation related to this position; i.e., production reports, accurate time keeping, etc.

9. Observes closely the operation of tools and machinery and notifies the supervisor immediately of malfunctions or maintenance that may be needed.

10. Monitors product constantly to ensure that quality standards are being met, and rejects product that does not meet quality standards.

11. Participates in scheduling and routing with the supervisor.

12. Conducts safety and maintenance checks on trucks and trailers.

13. Performs routine maintenance on units as required; i.e., oil change, etc.

14. Reports maintenance problems to Maintenance Department and schedules outside maintenance as needed.

15. Maintains the appearance of vehicles through routine washing.

16. Operates forklift as needed.

17. Loads trucks and trailers in a safe and logical fashion.

18. Ensures that loads are secured properly and that the load complies with all highway limitations and regulations.

19. Ensures that loads are protected when needed; i.e., tarps.

20. Locates delivery points and confers with customer as to where deliveries are to be made.

21. Assists in unloading as needed.

22. Obtains necessary documentation from customers.

23. Forwards documentation to Woodcraft office.

24. Completes and maintains all documentation in accordance with ICC regulations.

25. Performs related work as required.
